Gokaraju Ganga Raju (Telugu: గోకరాజు గంగరాజు) is an Indian politician and a Member of Parliament to the 16th Lok Sabha from Narsapuram (Lok Sabha constituency), Andhra Pradesh. He won the Indian general election, 2014 being a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate.[1] He is also the founder of Laila Group of Companies. Recently, he was elected as Vice-President to Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) South Zone.
Hailing from an agricultural family, reputed for service to the
society, Dr Ganga Raju, a leading industrialist, recognized as a person
serving the society. He has dedicated himself to serving the society
through VHP and RSS.
He graduated in Bachelor of Pharmacy from Andhra University in 1970,
His father, Late Shri Gokaraju Rangaraju, served as an MLA from Undi
constituency, ZP Vice Chairman of West Godavari District and also served
Lord Balaji as the Chairman of Board of trustees, TTD, twice.
Being a sportsman and sports enthusiast, Dr Ganga Raju is the Secretary of Andhra Cricket Association, Chairman of Financial Committee of BCCI and also the Member of Governing Council of IPL run by BCCI. Recently, Raju was elected as Vice-President to Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI).[2]
